Today was the final day of competition, and the only thing left was the Dance final. The event started at 12:00. M&G were the second couple to skate in the last group. They were dressed in the same outfits they wore in practices all week.
They got into their open position, Gwendal sitting on Marina's knee, as if at the piano and waited for the music to start. The wrong music started (I think it was their OD music), and they got up out of their starting position and skated back to the boards. This was the second false start for them, the first time happened during practice earlier in the week. After watching coverage today on CTV, it appeared that Marina thought this was kind of funny. It didn't appear to affect them.
Because I have a lot of pictures in these costumes, I decided to just watch the competition. No looking through the camera lens! The only exception was, using my digital camera, I took a "multi-shot" picture of the reverse lift. Here are the photos that resulted (maybe I should animate it):

(From the judges point of view) It moves from the far left corner towards the near right corner of the rink, during the vocal section of music. It's a very cool lift.
